I started my PR path in the political arena. Up on Capitol Hill I helped run press conferences for Congresswoman Furse of Oregon as well as running media relations for the election results in my county. From there I continued down the government/ public side of life to a not-for-profit doing international relations mainly in Germany.
Virginia Tech called my name and I went to aid where I could. In my time there, I coordinated press conferences, media coverage, big event coverage, as well as internal relations. My biggest success was coordinating the coverage on the reaction to budget cuts. The event made the cover of Virginia Business.
I've worked with the #1 advertising and public relations agency in Virginia Beach. Among the clientele are Popeyes, Video Atlantic, and Hampton Roads Elite Singles. Then moving to the Pittsburgh agency world, I had the opportunity to work with Chartiers Country Club, Seton Hill University, GSK, NCTSN, and the Allegheny Conference on Community Development. Some of my current clients are in the beauty, advertising, and legal industries.
I always like to volunteer a portion of my time and this year I'm aiding in POWER's annual fundraiser.
